Basic Stuff - For the new people around
This list of links is intended for the new people around in order to help them a little finding out what they`re dealing with when they enter this community of musicians which we call the tracking scene. It is meant for people who want to figure it out for themselves.

I don`t claim that this list is complete. In fact, if I tried to incorporate everything relevant, it would be more confusing than helpful.

Essential Demoscene Sites and Scene News

(Have in mind that the tracking scene is in fact an offspring of the demoscene. The first tracker was a tool developed by Karsten Obarski in order to simplify the composition of music, which would be included in an audiovisual production (`demo`). The demoscene exists basically as long as the Commodore C64, if I am not mistaken, continued to grow and spread on other systems (Amiga, Atari ST, PC, etc.) just as well.)
