Interesting! I like the layers and the "vibe," but it's a bit too short for me.

Nice experiment, dude :).

I know the tune had to fit an 8kb limit due to compo limitations, but I think some more optimization could've been done, giving you more room to play around. Samples 2 and 3 have long repeating sections in their waveforms; by setting appropriate loop points and cutting down the 'excess', you would've saved a few hundred bytes, just about enough for a third pattern. While spending 5 minutes or so playing with your samples I almost got it down to 8192 bytes with a third pattern.
Furthermore a few bytes could've been saved on optimizations inside the patterns themselves.

For what it is I'd rate it 3.5* if I could (no fractional ratings on modulez, alas) -- but I round it down to 3* because of the shortness. A brave effort, but try harder next time! ;)

More than a chiptune this sounds like a sequence of electronic music. It's a nice background for an entire melody. I'm agree with Alpha about sample two and three, you can use less space using one loop for sample 3 and less loops for sample 2.
The filter you used gives more sounds of something else than a chiptune. It's a great sequence for 8kb, but it stays there, as a sequence. Also, it's really short. Anyway it's good for practice, and if you improve this you will get a wonderfull song. I'll give you a 3, not more because it's too short and for the sequence issue, but a full song with this quality will get high scores.

Good work !
